It's not so much about "breaking into teams," as in a competition. I just get the question often in interviews, so it feels like I've crossed to the other side. Just a different way of doing things, though, with the same goal in mind - finishing the darn book! I like that idea about the first and subsequent books. Makes a lot of sense.Kristie Cookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01649966564896771373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020141552150561814.post-23529790217049813932011-02-18T17:56:53.221-05:002011-02-18T17:56:53.221-05:00Dawn, aw, thank you. I can make them but I easily forget they exist so end up writing with whatever is in my head anyways. Oh well, we all have our own methods and it can change with the different books we write.Dawn Embershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00214560861614476799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020141552150561814.post-39747574334081065742011-02-17T16:42:12.818-05:002011-02-17T16:42:12.818-05:00First of all, I love that photo you posted, lol.
...First of all, I love that photo you posted, lol.

Secondly, I am exactly the same way!! Some stories have just flowed out of me with zero plotting at all and turned out great. Others, I have sat down and plotted, (I usually write a paragraph per chapter of what happens, then write the novel, tweaking the outline as i go) and I like both ways.

I guess there's no right or wrong way, I wouldn't be surprised if you switch back and forth like I do. :)Cheyannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05924234364835409650noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3020141552150561814.post-66420354057868627322011-02-17T15:46:18.758-05:002011-02-17T15:46:18.758-05:00Yay!
